Releasing the beast within - The MV Agusta RUSH 1000

The MV Agusta RUSH 1000 is a work of art. This HyperNaked motorcycle is one of the most beautiful machines we have ever seen, but it is also a beast with 212 horsepower and a top speed of over 300 kph. The Forcite team were lucky enough to get their hands on one of only 4 MV Agusta RUSH 1000's sold in Australia for a photoshoot with David Song, Dealer Principal of Moto Machine (formerly known as MV Agusta Parramatta before the recent addition of Royal Enfield, Rieju and Segway brands).

Arriving in its wooden crate, you get the sense the bike must be released from its cage. But don't be fooled into thinking she's not nimble on her feet; the bike's design is based on the company's racing heritage and shows. It is one of the lightest bikes in its class, weighing in at just  184kg with race kit. The RUSH 1000's power is matched by its poise on the road.

David Song calls riding the RUSH 1000 a visceral experience. "The induction and exhaust noise combined with the naked riding position offers a unique ride, especially with the race-kit fitted, unleashing the full 212 horsepower capability of the engine. With its tried and tested trellis frame setup and Ohlins suspension package, high-speed cornering stability is supreme. While the new Brembo Stylema brakes give it the stopping power to match the engine and chassis. It truly feels like a naked evolution of the homologation-special MV Agusta F4 Reparto Corse complete with the fast-spinning engine equipped with titanium connecting rods," says David.

The MV Agusta RUSH allocations for Australia have long been spoken for, but if you are interested in a MV Agusta,  speak to David at  Moto Machine, Parramatta, who has an unrivalled passion for MV Agusta. "The sound of the MV Agusta motorcycles drew me to the brand around fifteen years ago. At the time, I was working as a mechanic for Ferrari, and the original F4 750's radial valve cylinder heads (developed with assistance from Ferrari) combined with the organ-pipe design exhausts made a sublime Ferrari-esque noise. Of course, the design of the MV Agusta bikes is also a stand-out feature. In the case of the RUSH, it is a radical departure from their previous, more traditional design language, but it suits the modern era of motorcycle design and takes it to the next level."

Moto Machine is an official Forcite dealer and can assist with sizing and demonstrations in-store for the MK1S helmet.
