Forcite x Drudi Performance = Forcite Nexus
Forcite x Drudi Performance = Forcite Nexus

Making sick shit is what Forcite is all about. And we love to see what others create too. Whether that’s cars, motorcycles or helmets. So we were thrilled to get the chance to work with one of the greats of helmet graphic design, Aldo Drudi. The result is the Forcite Nexus, an insane neo-retro-inspired smart helmet that takes riders back to the future.

Aldo Drudi has worked with some of the world’s greatest motorcyclists and manufacturers to create some of the most iconic helmet artworks in the sport’s history. After meeting Forcite Co-founder and CEO, Alfred Boyadgis at his studio outside Milan, Italy, Drudi was keen to get involved in the Forcite project, literally saying “Mamma Mia!” after trying the Frocite MK1S.  According to Drudi, the collaboration was a natural fit as he and Forcite are both focused on pushing the envelope when it comes to motorcycle helmet design.

The world-renowned graphic artist and legend within motorcycling, has collaborated with us to create the Forcite MK1S Nexus Edition, an electrifying artwork that pays homage to the design aesthetic of the late 1980s and captures the spirit of Forcite’s futuristic smart helmet technology.

Taking inspiration from late ‘80s graphic art, the helmet’s custom grid pattern and light-catching colour panels create a pulsating effect that’s reminiscent of future-gazing movies and TV shows from the period like Tron and Blade Runner. Adding to the experience, Forcite’s own LED peripheral vision display takes its cue from Knight Rider’s car KITT and its iconic red voice-activated array. The design gives riders a taste of the future while echoing the visionary tech of the ‘80s.

This new, limited-edition collaboration is the only Aldo Drudi-designed smart helmet in existence and something never seen before in motorcycling.

The Forcite Nexus’ design represents Forcite’s Command Ai which connects the rider, road and Forcite MK1S helmet to allow motorcyclists to foresee the future. Until now, the Forcite MK1S has only been available in a gloss or a matte black carbon fibre finish, but this new design encapsulates the technology that powers the patented Forcite MK1S with crisscrossed graphite overlay and pulses of colour representing the nexus flow of information presented to the rider, via the patented Forcite ecosystem.

There will be a limited run of only 400 Forcite MK1S Nexus available for the EU, UK and Australian markets. Another 400 will be made available when Forcite enters the US market in early 2023. Customers can purchase the Forcite Nexus in gloss and matt finishes.

While the Italian artist is selective when it comes to the brands he’ll work with, after being presented with a Forcite MK1S helmet, he was excited to be involved in the project, saying, "This was a job that Drudi Performance could not turn down. We have always worked on protective helmets for motorcyclists, perfectly aware of the technological evolution in terms of mechanical response, evolution of materials, ergonomics and aerodynamics. With the Forcite project a new topic is tackled, the connection and usability of many pieces of information that increase the safety of the motorcyclist and the pleasure of riding assisted by advanced technology. We thought for Forcite of a techno-graphic that would emphasise everything that is inherent in this ambitious project, hoping that the emotional approach will tell at first sight the complexity of a product projected to the future."

Forcite Co-Founders Alfred Boyadgis and Julian Chow were honoured by the opportunity to work with one of the greats of motorcycle design.

“Aldo Drudi is my favourite graphic artist. Having painted Valentino Rossi’s helmets for years, he bringsan exciting neo-retro element to Forcite design,” said Boyadgis. “The Forcite Nexus Edition is acelebration of technology and art. The design features a network pattern that speaks to the ForciteCommand System and splashes of colour represent data flowing to the rider. The helmet’s style is closeto my passion for late ‘80s design and icons like the Delorean, Knight Rider and Tron.”

Julian Chow Forcite, Head of Design, said, “The Forcite Nexus helmet designed by Drudi showcases his unique style and passion for graphics. It’s a bold look inspired by the interconnected nature of the Forcite riding experience.”

The Forcite Nexus shell encases a Forcite MK1S helmet with an integrated HD camera in the chin and inbuilt Harmon Kardon speakers, giving a premium audio experience. The helmet also has a patented LED peripheral vision light display that pairs with the Forcite app to give riders road alerts, navigation, and speed camera warnings. Made from carbon fibre, it's both lightweight at 1500g and durable, meeting ECE standards.

The Forcite Nexus was unveiled at EICMA with a limited run of only 400 EU/UK Forcite MK1S shells tobe painted. Forcite expects a rapid sell-out as with previous Forcite limited editions, so riders areencouraged to get in quick to avoid disappointment.
